I have been eating at Alberto's for 25 years. I read the very recent negative reviews and I was really stunned. Here is my experience from today: The restaurant was clean, as clean as it's ever been in my experience. The service was good. Attentive, friendly, repeated the order back for accuracy and timely brought to the table. We were checked on frequently and were satisfied by our server/bartender Terrie. The food tasted the same as it always has. It isn't high quality dining, it is generally very tasty Mexican food. The prices have increased. But the prices everywhere have increased. I don't like it, but if we want small businesses to survive this era, it's what we have to accept. Overall we were pleased with our dinner. I believe the slew of bad reviews left recently (and coincidentally aligned with a large employee turnover) may not necessarily accurately represent this restaurant. I am not aligned in any way with the ownership, employees or managers of Alberto's, merely a 25 year patron who was quite surprised by the recent negative reviews.
Ordered 2 burrito dinners which were billed incorrectly and a kids burrito. They billed for each item from al la cart making the price more than $6 more per plate. Additionally they didn’t even make the right food. My beef and bean burrito had no beef in it. None of the burritos had lettuce or cheese when we got home and saw the food either. Completely disgusted to have spent $55 on the burritos. The beans were also extremely cold as if they’d been sitting out for hours. I’ve been coming to this place for years and after tonight I will never return. Wish I could give zero stars.
The salsa taste like tomato sauce not enough spices. You need a good salsa and chips in a Mexican restaurant! They gave us a dinner menu and told us it was the lunch menu. The prices were outrageous double if not triple I almost left. I should have taken a picture of the menu prices. They had Pepsi products! 😃 So we shared a $20 combo platter it had a burrito, cheese enchilada, beef taco, bean tostada. The burrito was good! We asked for beans and beef, covered with enchilada sauce, lettuce, sour cream and tomatoes. The cheese enchilada was good! The staff was very nice. Our waitress was excellent!
The food was so, so . Now totally impressed. Ask for side dish, after food arrived! Had to request it again ! It's just a regular Mexican restaurant. Been there before and it has gotten any better.
